If I was to be hired as the Google doodler I would draw logos that have to do with technology. I would also draw logos that have to do events that go on during the day. For example if news channels reported that someone passed away I would create a logo to honor them. Lastly I would create logos that promote charities and important causes such as women's rights.
I think that Jibo is very exciting and revolutionary as it is very advanced. Having a good amount of programming knowledge myself, it's clear that this technology is very complex and advanced as its artificial intelligence is a lot better than that of what we have presently, such as Siri. Jibo is also exciting as it can perform many different tasks that you can do right now, except you must use numerous applications in order to perform them currently. Some might say that Jibo is creepy and crossing the line, however I believe that Jibo isn't creepy as it can't move and is a stationary device, it can easily be unplugged, and it can't perform any task than that coded into its program's logic.
A situation when i had to use patience was when i was trying to save up for my PC. While saving up for my PC I had to save up $3,000 and there were numerous times where I saw something that I really wanted and had enough money to buy it. However instead of buying the items that I wanted I continued to save up my money for the PC and eventually I saved up enough money to buy it and bought it as well. If I wasn't patient and didn't restrain myself from buying all those items I wanted, I would have never been able to buy the PC that i needed.
A time that i tried out something new and it didn't go as expected was the first time I ever played tennis. The very first time I played tennis whenever i swung my racket it would slip out of my hand and I would drop the racket. It was also super embarrassing because a lot of the times when i swung my racket, and it actually stayed in my hand, I missed the ball making me look kind of stupid. However i ended up learning a lot from this experience including how to keep the tennis racket in my hand and time my swing at the right time in order to hit the ball well. Getting better encouraged me to keep playing and practicing and eventually I got really good at tennis and now i play every week and have even made the high school tennis team.
Eight Barrel Shotgun
If the eight barrel shotgun was made today it would badly affect society because it would be a deadly weapon that could easily kill multiple people at once. It obviously has eight barrels and can shoot eight bullets at once. If people could buy this weapon and keep it at their homes or businesses as a weapon of self defense a lot of innocent people could die while the weapon is being shot. Also since the weapon has eight barrels and can shoot eight bullets at once a lot of people could be injured or even die while the weapon is being shot because the eight bullets could go anywhere. I have discovered the ManuasauresRex, a colossal beast that stands 1000 feet tall and ruled all of Earth's living beings. Now of course if I get to ever got to name a dinosaur that is as colossal as a beast as the ManuasauresRex was, I'm going to name it after myself. Now, the ManuasauresRex was a humungous, red dinosaur that everything on Earth and even in the galaxy feared. The ManuasauresRex had sharp teeth the size of a bus and spikes running along it's back that could easily split diamond right in half. Along with those two powerful weapons the ManusauresRex also had nuclear breath, not fire breath but nuclear breath that released a nuke every time it chose to release it. The deadly weapons that the ManusauresRex harnessed were too powerful to counter until all of the living beings on Earth and in the galaxy joined together to defeat and lead to extinction the one and only ManusauresRex.
This week we did our first project named Inventions and Innovations. During this project we had to research the genealogy of 3 products and then pick one product and find out the factors of demand and design apply to that product. My partner, Brycen, and I chose the MacBook Air while doing the genealogy of computers on a PowToon. After this came Design Challenge #2 on Friday in which we had to create some vehicle to carry lego bricks from a line of tape to an "x" mark a certain distance away. My group and I decided to build a plane which was at first a paper airplane but after testing we decided to and also built a foam plane that could hold the lego bricks better. After a quick weekend on Monday we created a timeline from all of the major inventions around the world from the end of the Iron Age to 2000. Our group had Central Asia and we were able to come up with a lot of inventions such as the nuclear power plant, horse collar, anti-ballistic missiles, and tank treads. After this we peer reviewed our project, I did Nadir's and Enzo's plus Mitch's and Ahkil's. Finally today, Tuesday, we got introduced to this circuit board called Edwino in which you can hook up to a computer, create your own customized code, and then output it to the circuit board and it will perform your code. I really enjoyed this as I have an android and java programming background and really love programming myself.
On Friday we had our first design challenge. It was very challenging and also fun because we needed to come up with different ideas on how to catch a tennis ball with just 5 pieces of balsa wood and a piece of string. Since the balsa wood was weak and we only had 5 pieces it was very challenging to create something that would hold more than 1 tennis ball. We ended up rebuilding our tennis ball catcher up to 4 times and sat there thinking of ideas for about 30 minutes. In the end we tied for 1st place after finalized design caught 2 tennis balls. Our catcher was basically a box that easily caught the balls and it had a guard made out of shortened balsa wood sticks around the edges to make sure tennis balls wouldn't fall out.
